Brit and Tony befriend Claire Novak when she parts ways with Castiel. They hang out in a local bar and play pool as Claire vents to them about how Castiel killed her father, and Dean killed Randy—whom she saw as a second father. Brit agrees with Tony that all family brings is pain and she suggests that Claire tag along with them for a while. Claire is hesitant at first, telling them that people around her get unlucky. When Claire gets a call from Castiel, Brit tells her to tell him to get lost. Brit then tells Claire that she admires her sweetness, but advises her to toughen up.
Later, Brit and Tony sit by a small campfire outside their beat-up camper van. Claire has joined them and Brit and Tony reminisce about a time where they were caught squatting in a fancy house whilst the owners were on vacation. When Claire gets a voicemail and explains that it's Dean, the man who killed Randy, Brit questions why Dean killed Randy. Claire answers that there was no reason and that Dean looked like he'd enjoyed it. When Claire mentions that Dean wants to meet up and talk with her, Tony agrees that she should. Brit elaborates that they're worried for Claire, and that she and Tony could beat Dean up badly so that he would never bother her again. Claire agrees to the plan.
After Claire sets the trap by telling Dean she wants to meet to talk, Dean arrives to a lakeside bench where he sits down, unaware that Brit and Tony are lurking in the bushes behind him with Claire hiding in the camper van. Brit stalks out of the bush quietly, wielding a bat. At the last second, Claire has a change of heart and runs out of the camper van shouting at them to stop. Brit swings her bat at Dean's head, but he ducks and she misses. Dean takes Brit in a chokehold with the bat. When Tony sprints towards Dean with an axe, Dean shoves Brit to the ground before shoving Tony down next to her. He grabs Tony's axe and raises it, Claire screaming for him to stop. Instead of bringing the axe down to harm Tony, Dean swings it downwards, lodging it in the wooden bench. Brit and Tony scramble to their feet and run off, unharmed.
