Chad Michael Murray is always good for mind-boggling news, earning himself lots of questionable fame on the Livejournal community ohnotheydidnt!, thus the appropriateness of the nickname.
He's quite often slashed with Jared Padalecki in RPS, due to the fact that they are friends and have shared an apartment when filming House of Wax in Australia.
The origin of the nickname is possibly an AU RPF fic by stone_princess on LJ where is was Chad's professional name in a roller derby team. The story has unfortunately been deleted.
