12.07 Rock Never Dies
Russell is meditating in his office when Crowley suddenly appears at his desk. Russell takes a moment to finish his meditation session before asking Crowley what he's there for. Crowley questions why Russell has gotten into new age stuff, and Russell explains that the meditation, yoga, and green juice keeps his anger in check. He then asks Crowley how his health, family, and Hell are doing, to which Crowley answers, "Doesn't matter, don't care, and been better." Russell tells him that he has some great up-and-comer talent for him to make deals with, and asks Crowley if he's still pleased with their arrangement. Crowley tells him that he is, then begins to ask about Vince Vincente and his comeback. Russell explains that he doubted the idea at first also, but that Vince pitched him the Ladyheart reunion personally, and he couldn't pass it up since Ladyheart sold a lot of records back in the day. He then continues to tell Crowley that Vince seems like a new man—energized and enthusiastic.
Later, Crowley returns to Russell's office to find out the location of Ladyheart's secret reunion gig. Russell tells him that he doesn't know, but that he probably wouldn't tell him even if he did. Crowley questions whether Russell would jeopardize their arrangement for the sake of a has-been rockstar. Russell explains that he sees the potential to make a lot of money with Vince's comeback, so it's just business, nothing personal. Enraged, Crowley telekinetically shoves Russell against a wall, causing him to drop his green juice. Crowley rebukes that it's definitely personal—unbeknownst to Russell, Vince is currently possessed by Lucifer, whom Crowley wants revenge on for having stolen his throne and treated him like a dog. Russell continues to assert that he has no idea where the gig is, and Crowley threatens him before disappearing. Shaken, Russell stumbles to his desk where he asks his PA, Brigitta, to bring him another green juice.
That night, in the limousine outside Club Meteor—the venue for the secret gig—Russell is surprised to learn from Tommy, Vince's bandmate, that Vince hasn't been cooperating with the rest of the band to make new music. Vince tells Russell to relax, that the show is going to "kill". Russell tells him that he took a chance on him, and that he should get in line, or he'll take everything from him—adding that he owns him. Vince looks amused at this, and points at the pen Russell is holding. Suddenly, Russell finds himself unconsciously unscrewing the pen before his hand shoots up, stabbing his own neck, causing him to bleed and choke to death.
