Nick lived in Pike Creek, Delaware, and was married to a woman named [[Sarah]]. Together, they had a son named Teddy. He targets people with special knowledge of the murders such as [[Arty Nielson]], a local priest, and [[Frank Kellogg]], but he also gets the urge to kill innocent people, developing quite a taste for the act. He discovers that the demon [[Abraxas]], whom Lucifer knew personally, possessed Kellogg that night and used his [[meatsuit]] to kill Nick's family with a hammer.<ref name="fourteen02" /><ref name="fourteen07" /> After kidnapping [[Mary Winchester]], Nick finally comes face to face with Abraxas, learning that Abraxas murdered his family on the orders of Lucifer.
