* This novel did not have a historian's note denoting where it takes place in ''Supernatural'' canon. It does, however, seem to take place a week after ''[[Supernatural: Nevermore]]'', and before [[2.09 Croatoan]].
* The novel acts as a direct sequel to ''[[Supernatural: Nevermore]] '' with the Winchesters on the hunt given to them at the end of the previous book.
