Castiel's powers change over time for a number of reasons, such as when he is disenfranchised by Heaven in season five and when the angels are expelled from Heaven by Metatron.
*Invulnerability - As an [[Angelsangel]] are Castiel was not affected by [[Salt]] shots of shotguns, all [[devil's traps]] types and even then then if Dean with [[Ruby's knife]] hit his heart.
* [[Dreamwalking]] - Castiel has been shown to be able to enter the dreams of humans to communicate with Dean Winchester.
* [[Healing]] - He can heal physical and mental damage.
