I was wondering that the fact that Castiel is capable of a type pyrokinesis, that was an ability only showed previously by Michael might be a proof that Cas is stronger then he was before, maybe closer to archangel level. There is of course no absolute canon fact about it but still. It seem like a rather unique power. What do you think? According to the wikipedia entry on Cassiel, in supernatural they switched the s for a t (Cassiel to Castiel) as a homage to the first initial of Thursday: The day that the show currently airs in the US. Cassiel is the Latin name of an angel in post-biblical Judeo-Christian religion, particularly that of the Kabbalah. Unlike many other angels, Cassiel is known for simply watching the events of the cosmos unfold with little interference.
