Outside, Dean stands over Cas’ lifeless body Dean realizes that Sam is inside the house and rushes in. Meanwhile, Jack stands up asking Sam if he is his father. Sam told Jack he wasn't his dad then Dean came in and didn't think twice he pulled his gun and shot at Jack missing him.

Jack gets upset and starts screaming. Suddenly he emanates a blast of power that lifts both boys up off the ground and throws them against the wall knocking them out. Jack leaves. Dean wakes from a nightmare where Mary bursts into flame. Dean woken up fast along with Sam both realized that Jack was gone and went to find him. Jack ends up at up at Pirate Pete's fast food joint, and starts calling out for his father. The teens working there sees Jack, naked, on the security camera from outside and one of them – Clark Barker - calls his mother, the sherriff.

Having regained consciousness, Sam and Dean start searching for Jack. Dean wants to kill Jack as he is convinced he is, or will become evil. Sam is more cautious, thinking that Jack may not be of evil, and may even be able to help them re-open the portal to Apocalypse World.

Sheriff Barker arrives at the fast food joint and takes Jack was back to the station, along with her son Clark. At the station, Christine gets jack some clothes, questions him about his parents, and takes his thumb print. After she leaves to check the print, Clark talks to Jack, amused by the whole thing and asks Jack how high he is. Jack is confused, but finally identifies that he is hungry.

Two angels are looking for Jack. They find the house where he was born, and discover Kelly and Cas both dead.

Dean and Sam arrive at pirate Pete’s and Sam goes in to see if the staff have spotted Jack. Dean calls Jody so she can place an APB out on Jack. He then walks behind the fast food place and starts partying to Chuck, begging for him to return Cas and Mary and even Crowley. When there is no answer he slams his fist repeatedly into the door.

Inside Pirate Pete’s, Sam finds out that Jack has been there and was taken in by the sheriff, while a drunk woman, Miriam wants to order fries. When Sam calls the Sheriff, pretending to be an FBI agent, she confirms she has Jack. She tells Sam she’s found something odd he needs to see, as she stares at Jack’s finger print which is vertical lines, rather than whorls. Back at the impala Miriam is ranting to Dean about a woman named Becky that annoyed her and wanted to punch her and went told Dean that she burned all of her things. Sam comes back letting Dean know where Jack is being held up. Down at the station, the lights start flickering on and off for some reason. Christine investigates and finds her son and Jack in a room eating candy. Jack is able to use his powers to get candy from the vending machine. Suddenly Jack screams in pain and grabs his head. He lashes out with his powers and knocks the Sheriff out.

The Winchesters arrive and Sam immobilizes Jack with a taser. Sheriff Barker comes too and lcoks Sam and Jack were both locked in one of the cells as she interrogates dean. He comes clean with the fact that they hunts monsters, and that Jack is half angel. Christine is in shock but after seeing what happened she believes Deans story.

Sam and Jack talk. Jack reveals that Kelly had told him Cas would look after him and Sam has to reveal that he is dead.

Meanwhile outside, the drunk woman from Pirate Pete’s, Miriam, turns out to be an angel and is accompanied by the other two angels who were searching for Jack. Miriam takes Clark hostage and threatens to kill him unless the Sheriff shoots Dean. She is after Jack, she says, because his power is immense.

Meanwhile the other two angels have found Jack in the cells. When they alert Miriam to this she stabs Clark. A fight ensures between her and dean, while Sam tries to protect Jack from the other angels. Badly beaten, Sam slumps to the ground but manages to draw an angel-banishing sigil in his own blodd and dispath the angels. Miriam enters the cells and says that if she can’t have Jack no one will. She stabs him with an angel blade, and then Sam kills her with a blade he has taken from one of the other angels. As an ambulance arrives, and Clark is taken to hospital, Sam tells Dean that Jack should return with them to the bunker. Dean agrees – while he thinks Jack will become evil, at least at the bunker he can only hurt them.

They return to the house where Kelly and Castiel died. Sam is reluctant to give Cas a funeral pyre in case he can be bought back. Dean explains he has already prayed to God to no avail. Sam, Dean and Cas stand next to pyre as they say farewell to Castiel and Kelly.

Quotes

Sam: Hold on a second. Can we just talk about what happened back there?
Dean: Sure, which part? Let's see. Crowley's dead, Kelly's dead, Cas is... Mom's gone. And apparently the Devil's kid hit puberty in thirty seconds flat. Oh, and tried to kill us!
Sheriff Barker: Is there anything you do remember, Jack?
Jack: I remember when the bad woman burned. I remember the universe screamed.
Dean: Well, do you really think Lucifer Jr.'s at Pirate Pete's Jolly Treats? That he was like, what? 'Before I destroy the world, let me just grab a bag of curly fries.'
Dean: Look, maybe you're right, maybe the Devil's kid is in there just hanging out, okay. Or maybe he's halfway across the country towards Chicago. I'm gonna call Jody, check in. See if she can help us put out a nationwide APB on a creepy Satanic nudist.
Sam: I'm looking for a guy, he's about your height, naked.
Miriam: You and me both, sista.
Dean: My name is Dean Winchester. That big fella in there is my brother Sam. We kill monsters.

Sheriff Barker: Monsters...
Dean: Hmm.
Sheriff Barker: Like?
Dean: Have you ever seen a horror movie?
Sheriff Barker: Mm hmm.
Dean: Like that.
Sheriff Barker: So what are you some kind of superhero?

Dean: I'm just a guy doing a job.
Jack: I don't -- I... I have to find my father. He'll protect me.

Sam: Jack, you gotta listen to me. That's not really what Lucifer does.
Jack: Lucifer? No, that's not his name. My father is Castiel.
Sam: What?

Jack: My Mother, she said Castiel -- he would keep me safe. She said the world was a dangerous place, that's -- that's why I couldn't be a baby or a child. I -- that's why I had to grow up fast, that's why I chose him to be my father.
Dean: Let him go.

Miriam: Okay. If she shoots you. I don't know what he's told you. I mean, I can guess. Some line about how he and his brother 'save the world.' Grr. So macho. But really, he's not a hero. He's Becky.
Dean: Becky? The roommate Becky?
Miriam: You take things and break things and piss people off and just do whatever you want no matter who it hurts. Also, you're a giant super bitch.
Dean: Well, it takes one to know one.

Miraiam: So yeah, you're Becky and Becky needs to die.
Dean: Okay, Chuck or God or whatever. I -- I need your help. See, you -- you left us, you left us. You went off... you said... you said the Earth would be fine because it had me and it had Sam, but it's not. And we're not. We've lost everything. And now you're gonna bring him back. Okay? You're gonna bring back Cas, you're gonna bring back Mom, you're gonna bring 'em all back. All of them. Even Crowley... 'Cause after everything that you've done, you owe us, you son of a bitch. So, you get your ass down here and you make this right. Right here! And right now! Please. Please help us.
Sam: You wanna say anything?

Jack: I... what do you say?

Sam: Right... Thank you, you say thank you. And you say you're sorry. You hope they're somewhere without sadness or hate. You hope they're somewhere better. You say goodbye.
Lucifer: So, you thought you could run away from me? Really? Really, you do know I can fly, right?

Mary: So what now? You kill me?

Lucifer: Sure... Or maybe not. Maybe... maybe I need you.

Miriam: Doesn't look like nothing. You punch a wall or something? I punched a wall once, well a poster on a wall, same diff right?
