Synopsis

Gods and Monsters

In a dilapidated old church there are few people chained by
their wrists, above them. A man is bleeding from a cut on the neck
into a chalice. Michael enters the room with a leather apron on. He
approaches the man and takes the chalice and adds someones grace to
the blood. Stirs it and puts it to the mans lips to drink. The man drinks
and lights up and his eyes are burned out. Michael drags his body to
a pile of other bodies and leaves him in a pile of his other experiments.
The others who are still alive watch. Michael says, “who's next”.
Back at the bunker, Bobby, Mary, Sam are talking angels and
how to find them. Sam finds on the computer bodies found in Duluth,
Minnesota. Their eyes are burned out, as in angel smiting. They all
agree to go and investigate. Cas knows that he can not go since he
would sabotage the mission due to his angelic presence. He will stay
behind and stay with Jack and Nick.
Nick is in him room on his bed. He is recalling his time as Lucifer
and all the awful things he did. Cas enters the room with food for him.
Nick is confused over how he could had let Lucifer take control of his
body. Cas reminds him of his family and how they died. It was his
grief. Nick begins to have flashbacks of this time. He becomes very
       emotional.
In the morgue in Duluth. Sam, Mary and Bobby question the
coroner on the bodies. If there was more information about how they
died, besides the slit throat and burned out eyes. She really didn't know
how they actually died. She leaves talking on the phone. They
examine the corpses themselves. Bobby is the first to find that his
is a vampire, the rest are the same. Mary asks, what does a arch-
angel want with a vampire? As they leave they asked if someone
claimed the bodies. Yes, a woman, she didn't get her name. Sam asks
       if they have surveillance cameras.
Cas and Jack are in the bunker. Jack is looking at books to tell
him when is grace may come back. Nothing concrete comes up. Cas
tells Jack of his experience without his grace. He tries to help Jack
       accept his situation.

Michael dressed in his tux ring on his right pinky finger. He adjusts
himself in the mirror. In his reflection is Dean. He tells him to get out of his
body. Michael punches the mirror and tells him he owns him now.
Cas is talking to Sam on his phone. He never heard of archangel
and a vampire interacting together. Right then Nick enters the room
agitated. He wants to find out about his families murders. He is
upset. He gets angered with Cas and snaps his fingers like Lucifer
would. Cas thinks some of Lucifer is still in him and tests him by
putting his had on his shoulder. Nothing, but believes that his psyche
may had been damaged from Lucifer's time in Nick. Nick leaves in search
      of who murdered his family.
In a hotel room a woman lays in her bed. She hears a knock on her
door. Behind the door a voice says, it's the FBI open up. She runs to
get ot of the window, her only exit. The door is busted down, Sam, Mary
and Bobby burst trough. She knows they are hunters. She explains
that her and her friends never killed humans and lived a quiet life,
killing only animals. Until he came along, she tells them what Michael
did to them and that he was experimenting. She asks if she tells them
where he is, if they will let her live.
Michael enters a room with a dark haired woman. He pours some
champagne into two glasses. They talk of their meeting at the bar. She puts
her hands up on his shoulders and gets close. She turns into a were
wolf. Fangs showing. Michael grabs her by the throat. His eyes turn
blue, then he raises her off the ground by her throat. He tells her
“You think you chose me, I chose you”. He throws her against the
wall. Takes a sip of his champagne and tells her to summon her
      master.
Back at the bunker. Nick is on his phone to the police in Pike
Peak, Delaware. He wants to know where they are in the investigation.
He's told it's a cold case. No evidence but there was a witness who
retracted their story. Cas reminds him that he is being given a second
chance. He tells him of his vessels story, Jimmy Novak. Nick compares
him to Lucifer, and a stone cold body snatcher. Cas excuses himself
to check in on Jack. As he leaves he tells Nick that what happened to
Jimmy and his family is his greatest regret.
Michael is handing a goblet of liquor to a man seated in a easy chair.
He then sits next to the woman werewolf. They are drinking 100 year
old cognac. The pack leader asks why a archangel is interested in them.
Michael says how he admires them and sees humans as vermin.
The pack leader says, “Thank God we've survived this long”. Michael
Gods on vacation and he is in charge now. He sees a purity in the
werewolves survival, they kill to live. He explains how he wants to
enhance their abilities. Says he had some failures, but has cracked the
code. The pack leader speaks of keeping humans only as slave labor
and food supply. Michael says, “Why be the hunted, when you can be
      the hunter”.
There is a knock on the door of a residential house. The door
opens, a young man asks if she is Mrs. Kline. It is Jack, he introduces
himself to her. Her husband replies that his name is Jack, too. He tells
them he is a friend of Kelly's. They knew each other, she gave him a
start. He looks down on the table to see a scrapbook of Kelly. Asks if
he could look at it. They graciously allow him to look. Mrs. Kline
asks about her pregnancy. Jack tells her she had a boy. He tells them
of what a good mother she was. Her mother notices how much
Jack looks like her. He excuses himself to leave. Mrs. Kline
      gives him a hug.
The same vampire is in her room, packing. Michael appears in
a chair saying her name. Alaya. He tells her how he left her brothers
and sisters in plain sight. He let her live. You can't leave bait without
a trap, he says. You are the bait. Once the trap is sprung you don't
need the bait anymore. His eyes turn blue Michael smites her.
Cas and Jack in in the hallway of the bunker. Cas is telling Jack
he took a risk going to his grandparents house. He reminds Jack
of how he is still on the radar of every angel and demon since the
day he was born. He asks if it helped meeting the only family he
has. He nodded yes. He wanted to tell them but couldn't, that she
was dead. Jack asks if Sam found Michael. They debate on if they
should kill Dean in the process of killing Michael. Jack thinks
Dean would not have it any other way.
Nick is visiting a old neighbor from his old neighborhood. They
talk about the night the murders happened. Nick speaks of how he
wants to find the killer. Then he asks about the eye witness. It is
this very neighbor. Asks him why he retracted his eye witness
account. Nick gestures to the window near him, as the window
he looked out of. He looks out of it himself. Asks why he would
look out, noise. Then Nick races towards the man and grabs him
by the neck, wanting to know who killed his family.
Sam, Mary and Bobby enter the old dilapidated church where
Michael did his experiments. Suddenly werewolves jump through
the glass windows to attack them. Sam shoots silver bullets into the.
It doesn't work. The others struggle until they behead them. They
fight until the last one is dead. Everyone is fine and not bitten. Suddenly,
doors open and Michael is there. Arm reaching out, he stumbles to a
wooden beam. He cries out Sammy. It is Dean. They ask if he's alright.
He told them that Michael just left.
Back to Nick. He looks into a mirror with a hammer in his hand. He
is bloody. He looks at the hammer, leaves it on the table and leaves. His
neighbor laying across a table bludgeoned to death by Nick.

Quotes

Nick: I just don't know what kind of pain would make me allow Lucifer to possess me.

Castiel: It was your family.
Nick: My family? Sarah and Teddy? No. Oh, my God. Who could do that? Who could do that?
Castiel: A man... broke into your house... and you weren't there.

Nick: That's no man. That's not a man. That's a monster. That's a monster, and then -- and then Lucifer found me and made me a monster, too. Oh, my God!
Sam: 'DFA'?
Bobby: I've been fighting a friggin' apocalypse for 15 years. My FBI might be a little rusty.
Castiel: Jack, um... mourning what you've lost... it's wasteful. Might be smarter to focus on what you still have.

Jack: You don't understand what I'm going through.
Castiel: Yes, I do -- a little. At the time of the Great Fall, when the angels were banished from Heaven, I lost what I thought was everything. I had no grace, I had no... wings. I felt hopeless and useless.
Jack: What did you have left?

Castiel: Well, uh... Well, I had Sam and Dean. But I had something else that was extremely helpful. I had myself. Just the basic me, as, uh... as Dean would say, without all the bells and whistles. You know... Sam and Dean, they weren't born with their expertise. They've been at it since they were children. Failing, winning, developing over the years. Patience... persistence -- those are skills, too. The past, where you came from, that's important, but it is not as important as the future and where you're going.
Dean: Get... out!

Michael: I don't think so.
Dean: You can't!

Michael: Oh, but I can. Because, see... I own you. So hang on... and enjoy the ride.
Castiel: Even though he's departed, there may be... some of his influence still within you. Just... Lucifer may have inflicted more damage on your psyche than we suspected.
Nick: Castiel... you're just a stone-cold body snatcher. You're no different than Lucifer.
Castiel: I... need to look in on Jack. You know... in all my thousands of years... what happened to Jimmy Novak... and his family... it's my greatest regret.
Mrs. Kline: Forgive me. But, um, Kelly told us she was pregnant. We didn't push for details. We felt she would tell us more when she was ready.

Jack: Uh, she... she had the baby. A boy.
Mrs. Kline: We have a grandson.
Jack: You do. And in the time I spent with her, she was an amazing mother. Her son loves her very much.
Mrs. Kline: Oh, I can just imagine.

Jack: She would sing and talk to him even before he was born. She made him feel... safe and... wanted. I heard her tell him that it isn't fate or her or his dad who sets his path. It's himself. Who he chooses to be.
Michael: Why do you think I dumped your brothers and sisters in plain sight? Why do you think I let you escape.

Lydia: You let me escape?

Michael: Rule number 1 -- you can't have a trap without bait. That brings us to rule number 2, which says... once the trap has been sprung, you don't need the bait anymore.
Jack: Cas, Michael has to be stopped.

Castiel: I know, and he will be, after Dean is --
Jack: No, Dean doesn't matter. You're all so focused on trying to save Dean. And I get it, I understand, but if he can't be saved, if it comes down to him or Michael... Michael has to be stopped. Caged or killed --
Castiel: And if that means that Dean dies, too?

Jack: Then Dean dies. I know this Michael. I've seen what he's done to an entire world, and so have you. If stopping that from happening here means that Dean has to die, then... Do you think he'd want it any other way?
Dean: Sammy. It's me.
