Erick Eric Kripke revealed in an [https://ew.com/tv/supernatural-finale-ending-eric-kripke/ interview with ''EW''], that after learning of the show's planned ending, he had attempted to think of a different ones to pitch back to Andrew Dabb and Bob Singer, but ultimately came to the conclusion that thier their planned ending was the right one.
