Dean: I'm okay. I killed so many people on the way over here, so...

The title of the episode is a combination of "Live Free or Die Hard" and "Twilight".
There are multiple references to the Twilight books throughout this episode. The two actors at the very beginning who are meeting at the Black Rose are named Robert (the vampire) and Kristen (the girl). These are references to actors Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart, who play the lead roles in the Twilight movies.
Dean: Alright, you go with Efron. I got Bieber.
A reference to teen idols/heartthrobs Zac Efron and Justin Bieber.
Dean: Hey, try Lautner. Another reference to Twilight, in this case to actor Taylor Lautner, who plays werewolf Jacob Black.
