Synopsis
Dean and Sam travel to Las Vegas, Nevada, for their "sacred, annual pilgrimage," but Sam decides to spend the time camping alone in the desert. After four days apart, Dean is at a strip club when he gets a text message from Sam telling him to change into his suit and meet him at a nearby chapel. Dean arrives at the chapel expecting a case, but Sam pins a boutonniere on him and tells him that he's getting married. To Becky Rosen.
After the ceremony, Dean asks what happened, and Sam tells him that they met, dined and talked, and fell in love. Becky assures him that she's aware of Sam's track record with women and she's going into the marriage with open eyes. She also underwent all of Sam's supernatural tests to prove that she's not a monster or demon. Dean is still skeptical, but unable to stop Sam from leaving for Pike Creek, Delaware, with his new wife: Becky Rosen-Winchester. He calls Bobby and leaves him a message about the situation.
Becky and Sam arrive in Delaware, and Becky immediately goes to the site of her ten year high school reunion so that she can register herself and her new husband for the event. As they leave the venue, Becky runs into her friend Guy, an event planner who's organizing the reunion. She introduces them, and Guy slips her a vial filled with purple liquid when Sam isn't looking. She thanks him, saying that everyone should have a Wiccan in their pocket, and they leave together just as Dean pulls up in his Dodge Challenger. Dean watches them go and then walks into the restaurant where the reunion will be held. At the bar, he sees a newspaper with an interesting headline: a man who recently won the lottery was killed in a freak accident.
Becky and Sam are at her apartment sharing a romantic dinner when Sam grabs his head in pain. Becky asks him what's wrong, and he looks at her in confusion and asks her what he's doing there. She rushes over and gives him a kiss, then dumps the purple liquid from Guy's vial in Sam's champagne before giving it to him to drink. Once he's been dosed, Sam calms down and once again looks at Becky with love.
The next day, Dean arrives at Becky's apartment with a wedding gift and tells Sam that he's ready to be supportive. Sam takes the waffle iron, and Dean pushes his way inside, saying that he's found a case. Not only has a lottery winner been killed in a car accident, but a man who recently made it to the majors was also just killed by baseballs shot from a pitching machine. Sam isn't surprised by the news: he and Becky are already working the case. Becky tells Dean that their first thought was of a Crossroads Demon, but the timeframe is off because the victims aren't getting 10 years before they die. She says it could be a cursed object, like in 3.03 Bad Day at Black Rock, but they haven't connected the victims yet.
Dean is shocked that Sam is working a case with Becky, and he confronts her, saying that he knows she's working some kind of "mojo" because Sam isn't acting like himself. Sam defends her, but Dean points out that people's dreams are coming true in Pike Creek, and it's too much of a coincidence that Becky's dream of having Sam is coming true now. He warns them that Becky might be the one who dies next. Sam says that he thinks Dean is just upset that he doesn't need his big brother anymore, and Dean leaves. As he goes, he gets a call from Bobby, who tells him that he can't make it there and is sending another hunter, Garth, to help Dean with the case.
Later, Sam presents Becky with "his and her" fake press IDs so that they can question a man who was just promoted from junior salesman to CEO at a local insurance company. Sam thinks he might be the next victim in their case. Meanwhile, Dean meets with Garth and is surprised to find a small, skinny guy who doesn't look like a typical hunter. Still, he shows Garth the same headline that Sam spotted, and they head to the insurance company posing as press, as well.
When Dean and Garth arrive at the insurance company, Sam and Becky are already leaving. Sam tells Dean that the new CEO Craig is clean, but Dean and Garth still question him. They learn that Craig wasn't angling for his new position, but that his wife is more than happy about his promotion. Dean and Garth are certain that the man's wife is the one behind his sudden success, so they confront her, but she refuses to admit to anything. She's leaving Craig's office when a large lighting fixture almost falls on her—Dean tackles her out of the way just in time to save her life. Afterwards, she admits that a man made her an offer: Craig's job for her soul. She thought it was crazy, but she agreed because it seemed like she had nothing to lose. Garth tells her that she needs to get out of town for a few days while they figure this out, and Dean says that Sam and Becky might be the next victims.
Meanwhile, Sam tells Becky that something about the case isn't adding up. She says that they're sure to get a break soon, but he suddenly grabs his head in pain. She rushes to get the vial of potion Guy gave her, but it's leaked out into her purse and there isn't any potion left. She calls Guy in a panic, but he doesn't answer, and Sam is becoming more and more lucid. He says that he's going to call Dean, and she hits him over the head with the waffle iron that Dean bought them. When Sam wakes up, he's tied to a bed in a cabin. Becky tries to calm him down, but Sam isn't having it. He demands that she untie him, but her computer alerts her to a call and she leaves to answer it. Guy is on the other line, and she tells him that she's out of elixir and that she needs more—he tells her to meet him in an hour. When she goes back to Sam's side, he accuses her of using a love potion on him and then tries to convince her that Guy is behind all the deals and deaths taking place in Pike Creek. She refuses to believe him about Guy and also tells him that the potion is just meant to enhance the feelings that he already has. Sam challenges her to untie him and see if those emotions are real after all, but she stuffs a gag in his mouth instead.
When Becky goes to talk to Guy, he tries to extort her for the potion. She thinks he wants money, but his eyes turn red and he demands her soul instead. She immediately realizes that he's a Crossroads Demon and says that Sam was right: Guy is behind the recent deaths in town. He asserts that they just had accidents and then offers Becky a deal: he'll give her 25 years with Sam as her loving husband before he collects her soul. He also promises that she won't have any accidents in the meantime. Becky tells him that she needs a drink, and he hands her the vial of potion.
Meanwhile, Dean and Garth break into Becky's apartment, but don't find Sam. Her computer is on, and Garth sees Becky's last tweet: "Going on romantic trip with hubster!!!" Dean finds a picture of young Becky in front of a cabin, and when he pulls it out of the frame the back reads "Loon Lake Family Cabin."
When Becky arrives back at the Loon Lake cabin, she tries to explain to a bound and gagged Sam why she has to keep dosing him with potion: she knows she's a loser and she just wants someone who loves her for her. Sam mumbles around his gag, and she takes it out. He says that if she really wants someone to love her, she can't drug him. Becky says that it's the only way and gets out the vial.
Back at the restaurant, the reunion is already over and Becky is having a drink. Guy approaches and asks her if she's thought about his deal, and she says yes, she's in. She stands to seal the deal with a kiss, but instead she lights and drops a lighter, which burns a devil's trap into the carpet under Guy's feet. Sam, Dean, and Garth appear, Garth holding a bottle of blueberry vodka that he used to draw the devil's trap, and Becky retreats, excited that her part of the trap went as planned.
Dean walks up to Guy and takes Ruby's knife out of his jacket pocket. He asks Guy how he's running his scam of giving people ten year deals and then killing them in a week, but Guy denies any wrongdoing. He says that he would never go back on a deal, but that there is a loophole: accidents happen. And he doesn't get his hands dirty because he has a "capable intern." Just then, Guy's partner Jackson appears and throws the hunters across the room before letting Guy out of the devil's trap. Guy goes after Dean, who throws holy water in his face, but Guy grabs him around the throat and starts choking him. At the same time, Jackson has knocked Garth unconscious and is using his powers to choke Sam. Becky grabs Ruby's knife off the floor and stabs Jackson through the back, killing him and saving Sam's life. Sam pulls the knife out of his back and throws it to Dean, who holds it up to Guy's throat.
Dean demands that Guy call off all the deals he has in Pike Creek, but he refuses. Just then, Crowley appears, and Dean quickly pulls Guy around in a hostage hold. Crowley, though, doesn't seem happy with Guy. Jackson told him all about Guy's scam, and Crowley asserts that he only has one rule: you make a deal, and you keep it. Guy's actions have undermined the integrity of demon deals everywhere, and he plans to make an example of him. Crowley tells the Winchesters that he'll cancel all of Guy's deals if they hand him over, and they ask why they should trust him. Crowley tells them that he's had his demons leave them alone lately because they've been hunting Leviathans, which he fully supports. After meeting the head Leviathan, Dick Roman, he'd rather stay clear. They make the deal and, after Crowley cancel's Guy's deals, they hand Guy over. Garth wakes up just after Crowley leaves with Guy in tow.
Back at Becky's apartment, Sam and Becky sign the annulment papers necessary to dissolve their marriage while Dean and Garth watch. Sam can tell that Becky is upset, and he says that she's not a loser—she'll meet the right guy some day. After they leave, Dean tells Garth that he "doesn't suck," and Garth gives him an uncomfortable hug before leaving in his car.
Once they're alone, Sam apologizes to Dean for some of the things he said while under the influence of Guy's potion. He tells Dean that he does still need him watching his back, but Dean says that he's been impressed by Sam's control lately and he knows that Sam's a grownup and doesn't always need him around. Sam laughs and then says it might be nice: Dean's always been worried about him, but now he can take care of himself.

Dead Poets Society is a 1989 film in which Robin Williams plays an English teacher at a conservative boys' school who introduces his students to the notion of carpe diem or "seize the day".
A Denver scramble is a diner dish which is like an omelet but where the added ingredients are mixed in with the eggs, so the final texture is more like scrambled eggs.
Becky tying Sam to the bed and stuffing a cloth in his mouth may also be a reference to the rape of a male character in Wedding Crashers.
A reference to Bernard Madoff, who is currently serving 150 years in prison for running a $65 billion Ponzi scheme.
The Colombian necktie is a particularly gruesome execution that originated during the Colombian civil war in the late 1940s, consisting of slashing the victim's throat and then pulling the tongue out of the wound.
Crowley characterizing Wall Street as imbuing less consumer confidence than even Hell is probably a jab at the fiscal and corporate policies that led to the Occupy Wall Street demonstrations, in which protestors are picketing in the New York financial district against corporate corruption and a purported unfair distribution of national wealth.
