We Gotta Get out of This Place by The Animals

Sam: You look like you've... Well, I was gonna say "You look like you've seen a ghost," but you'd probably be stoked.
Kevin: The next is... "The demonic influence on the collective tapestry of the soul."
Crowley: Blah blah blah. Doesn't anyone ever edit this stuff? So far as a writer, God's a snooze. No fun at parties, I hear.
Linda Tran: I hired a witch.

Kevin Tran: A witch?

Linda Tran: Off of Craigslist. Her name is Delta Mendota and she is a smart cookie. She's scrappy, reliable, and willing to kill.
Castiel: I'm dirty
Dean: Oh well, Purgatory will do that to you.
Dean: Sammy, I remember every second of leaving that place. I mean I remember the heat. the stink, the pain, the fear. I have that whole ugly mess right here...and he says he has no idea how he got out? I'm just not buying it.

Trivia & References

Metatron is named as an Archangel in this episode - which makes him the fifth alongside Michael, Lucifer, Gabriel and Raphael that has been named.
Chuck is mentioned by the Winchesters whilst discussing Prophets after many of the "potentials" are being captured world-wide by Crowley. As there can only be one Prophet at any given time, Castiel suggests that Chuck is most likely dead; thus allowing for Kevin Tran becoming one.

Following the Season Five finale, there was much debate amongst fans to whether Chuck was in fact God, and whether he had been so all along.

See here for a discussion of whether Chuck was, indeed, God.
Crowley: It's all very West Side Story, but let's be logical. You look like hell, and I should know.
West Side Story is a musical based on Romeo and Juliet, about two rival street gangs.
This was the fist episode to be directed by Charles Carner who had previously worked with both Jim Michaels and Bob Singer on the 1980s series Midnight Cller.

The reporters for the online articles about missing persons are Terry Ewasiuk and Kara Schwandt, who are Art Department crew members on Supernatural.
According to the missing child alert, Aaron Webber was last seen on November 22nd, 2012.
