After Aiden's family was killed by Seth the vampire, he was taken in by Victor Rogers and trained to be a hunter.

In order to lure in the vampire that killed Aiden's family, Krissy and Aiden pretend to be a couple that are trying to make out at a local make-out spot in Conway Springs, Kansas and the vampire attacks them. While the vampire is distracted with the supposedly frightened Krissy, Aiden decapitates it from behind and confirms that it was the one that killed his family.
