This shapeshifter starts gathering a following of its 'offspring' and is apparently reproducing with women by morphing into their husbands. The Alpha Shapeshifter was the very first shapeshifter. It's sole weakness is iridium.
Powers and Abilities
The Alpha Shapeshifter is very powerful and is clearly more dangerous then a normal shapeshifter. According to common lore, it has a connection with all of its 'offspring' which allows it to locate them.
- Like all Shapeshifters, it can revert and morph its body to match/resemble the appearance of other humans. It also doesn't shed its skin while undergoing a metamorphosis related process.
- Like the Alpha Vampire, it's highly resistant to pain.
- It possesses superhuman-strength.

6.10 Caged Heat
Crowley interrogates the Alpha Shapeshifter on purgatory's location. He threatens to kill the Shapeshifter's offspring that he currently has captured, but the Alpha Shapeshifter still refuses and tells Crowley that more shapeshifters would be produced if he killed the others. Crowley then reveals that Iridium, although expensive and rare, is capable of damaging and killing the Alpha Shapeshifter.
