History
Andy Gallagher is one of the Special Children. He and his twin brother Ansem Weems / Weber were born to Holly Beckett (now deceased) on June 30, 1983. She gave them up for adoption to different families, and they never met until they were adults. Andy's adopted mother (unnamed) was killed by Azazel on December 30, 1983. Andy, like his twin, has the power of mind control. However, unlike his brother, he used this power only for minor personal gain and not to harm anyone.
Andy resided in Guthrie, Oklahoma and lived out of his blue van "with a barbarian queen painted on the side." He previously had a romantic relationship with Tracy. Andy used marijuana, as evidenced by the bong Dean finds in his van in 2.05 Simon Said. This is reaffirmed in 2.21 All Hell Breaks Loose: Part One when Sam asks him what he remembered before finding himself in Cold Oak, and Andy replies with "my fourth bong load."

2.05 Simon Said
After Sam has a vision, Ash helps him track down the vision's location. Sam finds Andy, whose mother was also killed in a nursery fire. Andy uses his power to get Dean to give him the Impala, and later to get Dean to speak truthfully about what he and Sam are doing.
Sam and Dean suspect Andy has killed people using his psychic powers, but when they search Andy's van they find nothing to suggest he is the killer. A woman is killed when Sam is with Andy. The woman turns out to be Andy's birth mother and further investigation reveals Andy has a twin, Ansem.
Ansem has tracked Andy down, and admits to having killed people important to Andy in order to make himself the only important person remaining in Andy's life. He is about to kill Tracey when Sam and Andy confront him. Just as Ansem is about to make Dean shoot himself, Andy kills his own brother. Which presumably has unexamined psychological consequences.
2.21 All Hell Breaks Loose: Part One
Andy is one of the kids brought to Cold Oak, South Dakota by the Yellow-Eyed Demon. Andy reveals that he has developed his powers to include mental projection, so he can beam images into people's minds. He mentions that (as his ideas of power are totally not petty and opportunistic) he has used this ability to transmit gay porn into the mind of a guy he didn't like. All hours of the day. Using his talents to more serious and plot-related purpose, Andy is able to transmit images to alert Dean to their whereabouts. He is later killed by an Acheri demon that was summoned by Ava Wilson.
2.22 All Hell Breaks Loose: Part Two
When Sam explains everything that happened in Cold Oak, Dean replies "Poor Andy."
