While facing down Lucifer in the [[Alternate Universealternate universe]], Dean uses a machine gun equip equipped with bullets made from discarded angel blades which that universes Bobby Singer lent to him. The bullets are able to temporarily stun Lucifer, but not kill him. After the gun jams Lucifer is able to take it from Dean and break it.
Soon after Crowley completes the spell to close the rift, Castiel charges through and stabs Lucifer in the gut with an angel blade and Sam and Dean go back to their universe. Moments later Castiel appears in front of the rift, however he is quickly stabbed in the back by Lucifer, killing Castiel.

However, in their ensuing fight with Gog and Magog, they lose their weapons, with Dean's blade being shattered by Magog's sword. Dean is able to get a hold of and use Magog's sword to kill the two after learning their weapons were forged by a god.
While escorting [[Belphegor]] into [[Hell]], [[Castiel]] arms himself with his angel blade, killing Malfayan with it. When Ardat attacks Castiel and [[Belphegor]], she is also armed with an angel blade. While Ardat is distracted revealing the truth about Belphegor to Castiel, Belphegor stabs Ardat in the back with another angel blade, killing her.

After being confronted by a resurrected [[Lilith]], Dean draws an angel blade while Sam draws the [[demon-killing knife]]. Lilith comments that Dean upgraded upon seeing the angel blade.

When confronted by a [[djinn]], [[Castiel]] draws his angel blade and kills the monster with several stabs to the chest.

When a resurrected [[Jack]] goes after the last of the [[Grigori]], he arms himself with an angel blade. He uses the blade to kill the grigori Sariel and cut out his heart to consume it. On the trail of another grigori, Jack follows [[Kabaiel]] to an abandoned warehouse, where he is captured. While rescuing Jack from Kabaiel, Castiel fights and kills the fallen angel using his angel blade.
When trying to draw out [[Fortuna]], Dean uses an angel blade to hold her son [[Pax]] hostage. Fortuna admits that Dean probably could kill Pax with the angel blade as his father was human, but threatens Dean into releasing him instead.
