Archangels
Archangels are powerful high-ranked angels in the celestial hierarchy. Castiel describes them as 'heavens most fearsome weapon'. In 4.18 The Monster At The End Of This Book, it is revealed that archangels are tied to prophets, such as Chuck Shirley. The archangel tied to Chuck first appeared only as a thunderous sound and a blinding white light. Raphael was that Archangel.Michael was also an archangel.
Lucifer was also an archangel.
