Famine wonders why Dean has not been infected by him and touches his chest, concluding that there is nothing inside of him, that Dean is dead inside.

Sam arrives at the restaurant and Famine stops his demons from capturing him. Famine tells Sam that he sent the demons earlier as a snack, that Sam won’t die from drinking too much blood, he’s the exception and that that is exactly what Lucifer wanted. Famine offers his demons to Sam but he refuses and exorcises all of the demons in the room at once, but Famine consumes them instead of letting them get sent back to Hell. Sam attempts to exorcise Famine, but it doesn’t work so he decides to exorcise all the demons that Famine has eaten, which seemingly destroys the horseman.
