History
Bori Baba or Father Sack is a north Indian equivalent of a boogeyman. Bori Baba stories were passed down from generation to generation through oral tradition, making information on him unreliable.
Characteristics
Bori Baba appears as a human figure covered in sack cloth rags, and a mask reminiscent of a scarecrow. Bori Baba lures its victims by tempting them with an item of deep meaning that they have lost. The person seeking this lost item will have a sack appear before them, from which Bori Baba emerges from and takes them to be trapped in his maze, to be played with before finally being eaten alive.
