History
The canids are the unnamed humanoid inhabitants of the Bad Place.
Characteristics
The canids are humanoid in appearance, with pale skin, glowing red eyes, three-fingered hands and blue blood. Adorned in tattered cloakes and half face masks covering their mouths, beneath the masks the canids mouth reveals a mandible that when opened reveals a beak with tendrils. Canids are pack creatures and have a strong sense of smell, allowing them to capture their prey's scent and track them. The canids also appear to communicate with each other through a series of clicking noises.

13.10 Wayward Sisters
When Kaia and Jack were trying to open a portal to Apocalypse World, the also opened one to The Bad Place. Sam and Dean are sucked through the portal to the Bad Place and it remains open allowing the candids to travel through. They stalk Kaia who is in the Sioux Falls hospital, and attack her. Claire and Jody fight them off, and one is killed.
In Jody’s garage, Alex is examines the dead monster. When they hear what sounds like a monster approach them from a distance, they run away. Back at Jody’s, Patience is packing up to go back home. She has a discussion with Alex about staying, but she retorts that this life isn’t for her. As she’s about to leave, Patience has a vision of a pack of candids bursting into Jody’s house. She warns the other women of the danger and they leave.
They meet up with Donna Hanscum and Jody and Donna head to the shipyard where Jack and Kaia opened the portal. More candids attack, but luckily Kaia, Claire and patience arrive and help fight them off. Claire and Kaia travel through the portal to rescue Sam and Dean. There Kaia is killed. After Claire, Sam and Dean return the portal closes. However Dark Kaia has travelled through the portal, as possibly more candids.

Trivia
- The creatures from the Bad Place that come through to Sioux Falls were known as "Canids" in the script, but due to the evolution of the creature design from concept to creation, writer Robert Berens felt the name no longer fit and thus the creatures currently remain nameless. The name Canids will be used until they are re-christened.
