This weapon first appears in Alastair's possession[1] He claimed that an old friend lent it to him. According to Crowley, this scythe can kill reapers, demons and angels[2] Crowley also told Dean and Sam that according to current rumors, this weapon can kill Death. Although this seems highly unlikely due to the fact that Death himself manufactured it, and as a Horseman, he is immortal. Death's ambivalence toward Lucifer's plans suggests that he would not have willingly given the scythe up to further the breaking of the seals.
4.15 Death Takes A Holiday
First appearance of the scythe and reference to Death in the series. Alastair hints that it belongs to Death and uses it to kill one of the two reapers in an attempt to break one of the 66 Seals.
