• 3.15 Time Is on My Side - Sam almost puts Dean off of enjoying his burger talking about bile, but Dean decides to eat it anyway saying "Oh baby, I can't stay mad at you" to the burger

• 4.15 Death Takes a Holiday - Dean focuses on eating his burger after the boys' encounter with the siren in the previous episode (4.14 Sex and Violence).

• 4.18 The Monster at the End of This Book - Dean is not allowed to eat a bacon cheeseburger, as it's 'opposites day'

Sam and Salad

Sam and his Health Quake Salad shake

Sammy loves his salad, often choosing that over a burger or other fast food on the menu, much to Dean's amusement/horror. Sam's preference for salad was fanon, and featured often in fanfiction long before it was Kripked and appeared on the show in Season 4.

The most famous Sammy salad moment is during 5.12 Swap Meat when Sam orders a A Health Quake Salad shake, leading to the line "oh, you shake it up, baby" from Dean.

• 4.18 The Monster at the End of This Book - Sam just has the Cobb salad, while Dean debates over which burger to have.

• 7.06 Slash Fiction - Leviathan!Sam pushes a plate of salad away from him and says in disgust "Dead plants with creamy goo. It's like eating self-righteousness."

• 8.12 As Time Goes By - In the diner, Dean and Henry have a burger and fries. Sam has a salad.

Dean eats...a lot!

• 1.14 Nightmare - Priest Dean eating up the cocktail sausages.

• 1.19 Provenance - Dean stuffing his face with mini-quiche at the auction.

• 2.15 Tall Tales - Dean sitting on Sam's bed eating something messy (chili cheese fries?) from a disposable plate, annoying Sam. Dean eating from a bowl of toffee/nuts until his cheeks are full up like a chipmunks, annoying Sam. Also that classic cocktail scene where when Dean describes what he is drinking he replies "I don't know, man, I think they're called purple nurples?"

• 2.18 Hollywood Babylon - Dean eating on set, first the miniature Philly cheesesteak sandwiches, which he describes as "delicious!" Then the plate of Taquitos that he is munching his way through while talking to Sam, offering them to Sam by saying "Taquito? They're wonderful."

• 3.06 Red Sky at Morning - Dean pops a whole appetizer in his mouth after Bela pretends to faint.

• 3.11 Mystery Spot - The famous line from Dean "Hey! Tuesday, Pig n a Poke!" Plus Dean manages to die choking on a sausage and eating a "funny" tasting Taco.

• 4.05 Monster Movie - Dean suddenly yells "Oh Big pretzel!!" then orders a big pretzel for himself and Sam.

• 6.08 All Dogs Go to Heaven - Dean eating a plate of ribs from Fat Mack's Rib Shack.

• 7.09 How to Win Friends and Influence Monsters - Dean and the Turducken sandwich, first it gets him stoned and then it gets angry, spurting out grey goo and leading to the line from Dean: "I think you pissed off my sandwich."

Death and food

Death (one of the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse) has a fondness for fast food, so much so that Dean even tries to placate him with some fried pickle chips when they bind him. Dean says, "Um... Fried pickle chip? They're the best in the state."

• 5.21 Two Minutes to Midnight - Dean and Death eating pizza pie in a Chicago pizzeria.

• 6.11 Appointment in Samarra - Death: "Dean. Join me. Brought you one," Death hands Dean a hot dog, "from a little stand in Los Angeles known for their bacon dogs. Sit."

• 7.01 Meet the New Boss - Dean giving Death the Fried pickle chips. Death: "Nice pickle chips, by the way."

Other memorable eating moments

• 1.18 Something Wicked - When young Dean cooks Young Sam dinner and Sam complains, "I'm sick of scabetti-ohs." Sam then asks for Lucky Charms instead, but there is only enough left for one person. Dean gives in and gives them to Sam, who in turn offers Dean the toy.

• 5.14 My Bloody Valentine - Castiel's vessel, Jimmy, gets hungry for burgers after being influenced by the horseman 'Famine'.

Castiel: "These make me...very happy."

Dean: "How many is that?"

Castiel: "I lost count. It's in the low hundreds."

• 6.04 Weekend at Bobby's - Bobby and his ruined attempts to sit down and enjoy the homemade peach cobbler that he has been given.

• 7.22 There Will Be Blood - Dean is devastated to learn that the modified corn syrup the leviathan are using to make humans docile and obese is in nearly all his favorite foods, including pie. Sam suggest bananas and water as an alternative.

• 8.21 The Great Escapist - Castiel orders the Smart Heart Beer Battered Tempura Tempters.

• 9.11 First Born - "I miss you PB & J," Castiel laments that as a human he loved PB & J sandwiches (with jelly not jam), but as an angel he could taste every molecule, and it is disgusting.

Monster Munch

• Changeling - feed on a humans' synovial fluid. (Synovial fluid is a viscous, non-Newtonian fluid found in the cavities of synovial joints.)
• Djinn - leaves human victims in a coma-like state while they feed on their blood over a long period of time.
• Fairies - They love cream, which, like alcohol, intoxicates them.
• Ghouls - Ghouls are spirits of the dead that traditionally feed on the blood of the dead, except for the ones Dean and Sam encounter.
• Kitsune - Amy Pond (Sam's first crush) is Kitsune. They eat brains and pituitary glands of humans. They can survive on dead tissue unless they are sick, then they need fresh to get better.
• Leviathan - can consume themselves in an act known as bibbing.
• Okami - A humanoid monster. They hunt and feed on humans and usually develop a preference for a certain type of human - for example, single, white females while they sleep.
• Rugaru - The rugaru is the result of a genetic mutation that, when expressed, causes the affected human to experience a murderous, cannibalistic hunger. In 4.04 Metamorphosis the term "long pig" becomes Dean's word of the day.
• Shtriga - feeds on the life force (Spiritus Vitae) of others, specifically children, to extend its life.
• Vampires - mainly human blood, although can subsist on animal blood. Lenore leads a nest which she insists must not feed on humans; the effort ultimately fails. When Benny returns from Purgatory he refuses to kill humans for food and uses blood from blood bank supplies. Ty Olsson figures into each of those examples.
• Vetala - Vetala are creatures that sedate their victims with venom and then feed on their blood over a number of days.
• Werewolves - human hearts.
• Wendigo - eats people (cannibalism of sorts).
