Dean first sees Ganesh in his elephant form in a hotel room picking up a towel. When he checks back, he sees a man in a towel. He is one of the gods who meets to try to work out a way to stop the Apocalypse.
He is later killed by Lucifer.

Ganesh is a very popular Hindu God, depicted with the head of an elephant. He is known for removing obstacles to success, and also the God of education and learning.
