When Diego Avila of the Rhode Island Men of Letters opened a portal, the god Yokoth came through the portal and possessed Sandy Porter. Glythur was meant to follow her through but the portal closed prematurely.

In searching for ingredients for a spell which they need to open a portal to Apocalypse World, Dean uncovers information that the Seal of Solomon was taken from the Middle East by Men of Letters from Rhode Island. They travel to the chapterhouse and find a young woman - Sandy Porter - chained to an altar.
