History
Sam: I thought you said he was a good hunter.

When Gordon was almost 18, a vampire broke into his home and attacked his sister. In the fight, Gordon was knocked unconscious. When he woke, his sister and the vampire were gone. He ran away from home, learning how to find, fight and kill vampires. He killed the vampire who attacked his sister, and also killed his sister who had been turned.
Unlike the Winchesters, who see themselves as hunters who work to protect humans and only do what they have to do to the creatures they hunt, Gordon is proud to consider himself a killer, freely resorting to torture even when he has captured his victims. He also considers the world to be a black-and-white place, with demons and monsters as the villains and humans as the "good guys," considering that anything he does to even non-human-drinking vampires is justified simply because they aren't human, when the Winchesters are more willing to work with and tolerate the supernatural creatures they encounter that are not actively harming humans.
Ironically, Gordon's obsessions with not only Sam Winchester but with vampires lead to him becoming captured. Gordon is turned, in what his vampire captor sees as a fitting punishment. Gordon tries to use the newfound powers to finally kill Sam, but instead Sam is the one that prevails. As Gordon is no longer human Sam ends the rivalry by decapitating Gordon using a piece of razor wire.[1]

2.03 Bloodlust
Gordon is hunting vampires when he meets Sam and Dean. He refuses to listen when Sam explains that the vampires are not evil - they are not feeding on humans but on animals. Gordon captures and tortures Lenore, even cutting Sam in order to tempt her with human blood. Dean overpowers him and after the vampires escape, Gordon is left bound to a chair in an old farmhouse. We find out in 2.10 Hunted that Dean left him there for three days before alerting anyone.
2.10 Hunted
Gordon is on Sam's trail, trying to kill him. He has found out from someone at the Roadhouse that Sam has psychic abilities, and knows from a demon he tortured that people like Sam are going to be soldiers on the side of evil in a coming war. Gordon uses Dean as bait, but Sam foils him, calling the police who arrest Gordon.
3.03 Bad Day at Black Rock
Gordon, still in prison, is visited by Kubrick. He explains that contrary to Gordon's beliefs, he has found out that Sam was trying to keep the Devil's Gate in Wyoming from opening. Gordon states that he doesn't believe Sam is even human, and must be killed. A series of coincidences help Kubrick and Creedy track Sam down and they capture him but are foiled by Dean. Returning to Gordon, Kubrick - who was able to find Sam due to Sam suffering from bad luck due to a cursed rabbit's foot, now believes that he is on a mission from God to kill Sam. While Gordon obviously disbelieves this, he enlists Kubrick's help in planning his escape.
3.07 Fresh Blood
Gordon has escaped from prison, and tracks down Bela after he finds out she had been working with the Winchesters, convinced Sam is the Antichrist. Although he threatens to shoot her, she only reveals their whereabouts when Gordon gives her a priceless mojo bag. Along with Kubrick, Gordon interviews one of the victims of a vampire Sam and Dean are hunting, and tracks them down. The boys escape, but Gordon is captured by Dixon, who turns Gordon into a vampire. Gordon is determined to kill Sam as his last good act, before killing himself. He returns to see Kubrick but when Kubrick attacks him, Gordon kills him. Using a girl as bait, Gordon lures the boys to a warehouse, where Sam eventually kills him by garroting him with razor wire until he is beheaded.
6.19 Mommy Dearest
Lenore calls Gordon Sam and Dean's "hunter friend" and reminds them that he had almost killed her. Sam reassures her by telling her how he had killed Gordon by chopping his head off after Gordon became a vampire. Dean adds that he had done it with razor wire and comments that Sam's killing of Gordon was "wicked."
Trivia
- A multiple episode story arc was originally planned for season three revolving around Gordon finding out about Steve Wandell, the hunter Sam killed in 2.14 Born Under a Bad Sign, and rounding up a posse of hunters to go after Sam. Unfortunately scheduling conflicts with Brown meant the show would only have him for two episodes, and it was decided to drop that storyline and to bring Gordon's arc to an end.[2]
- He drives a red El Camino (possibly a 79-81) with Michigan plates: TRI 208.
- Gordon seems to prefer Heckler and Koch firearms. Throughout the series he is shown wielding a H&K Mk.23 .45 caliber pistol and a H&K SL8 5.56 caliber rifle. He has also been seen using what appears to be a Winchester M70 bolt action rifle, presumably chambered in the .308 Winchester round.
- "Walker" may be another gun-related name, in this case referencing the Walker Colt revolver.
- Has met John Winchester.
