Characteristics
Not much is known about the gorilla-wolves that inhabit Purgatory other than they travel in packs, appear to be quadrupeds that move very quickly, and have glowing red eyes.

7.23 Survival of the Fittest
After killing Dick Roman, the gorilla-wolves were the first creatures that Dean and Castiel encountered in Purgatory.
8.02 What's Up, Tiger Mommy?
During one of Dean's Purgatory flashbacks, he remembers tracking down Castiel with the vampire Benny Lafitte, and during their reunion coins the term "gorilla-wolves" to describe the creatures he and Cas first encountered in Purgatory.
