History

Harry is a self proclaimed "professional" paranormal investigator and was the co-runner of the website Hell Hound's Lair with his best friend and partner Ed Zeddmore. Two years after meeting Sam and Dean Winchester while investigating the legend of Mordechai Murdoch in Richardson, Texas, Harry and Ed meet up - once again - with the Winchesters, along with their team "Ghostfacers," while investing the Morton House in an attempt to catch paranormal activity on film.

In 9.15 #THINMAN its revealed that Harry had contemplated leaving the Ghostfacers for a normal life where he was married, but when Ed created the Thinman, he was sucked back in and it destroyed his relationship. Harry saved Ed by killing Deputy Tom Norwood, one of the two men who were pretending to be Thinman, but as a result of learning the deception, he quit the Ghostfacers (which was just him and Ed at that point) and left with Sam and Dean.

4.17 It's a Terrible Life

Harry and Ed make an appearance as the Ghostfacers in the Alternate Universe that Zachariah, in order to get Sam and Dean to understand their place in the world.

When a ghost beings attacking people at Sandover Bridge & Iron Inc., employees Dean Smith and Sam Wesson team up to figure out what is going on, during their research they come across the Ghostfacers website and watch a tutorial by Harry and Ed on ghost hunting. In the video they go over three rules to fight the supernatural. First thing is to figure out what you're up against, and then kill it. Secondly they go over the main weakness of ghosts, the first being salt, and also demonstrate a trick they learned from the Winchesters (who still suck ass) by putting rock salt in shotgun shells, the second weapon is iron which dissipates spirits instantly, and Ed calls "pure power in your hand."

The video ends with Harry and Ed describing the final way to get rid of a ghost -- burning it's remains.
