"Hot Wings" is a nickname for Castiel which started when he was named on the TV Guide Magazine's "Hot List" for 2009 in November of that year.

Oddly enough the nickname became canon in the 2012 episode 8.02 What's Up, Tiger Mommy?, when Benny uses it to refer to Castiel in Purgatory.
