History
After Lucifer took his grace,<ref name="thirteen23">[[13.23 Let the Good Times Roll]]</ref> Jack struggled with life without his powers, but slowly learned that he is part of the [[Winchester (family)|Winchester family]]. He views Sam, Dean, and Castiel as his fathers. After saving [[Lora]] from a [[Cursed Object|cursed pendant]], Castiel remarks that Jack has the mind and heart of a [[hunter]].<ref name="fourteen03">[[14.03 The Scar]]</ref> Jack and Castiel subsequently begin going on hunts together,<ref name="fourteen04">[[14.04 Mint Condition]]</ref><ref name="fourteen13">[[14.13 Lebanon]]</ref> as do Jack and Dean.<ref name="fourteen06">[[14.06 Optimism]]</ref> Jack goes on to become a full-time hunter without his powers, joining the Winchesters and Castiel on regular hunts that they take as a team.<ref name="fourteen14" />
After losing his grace, Jack falls seriously ill though he does his best to hide it at first.<ref name="fourteen03" /><ref name="fourteen06" /> It is revealed that the loss of his grace has caused Jack's human and angel halves to begin attacking each other, leaving Jack in total systemic failure.<ref name="fourteen07">[[14.07 Unhuman Nature]]</ref> Following his death, Jack was reunited with his mother in [[Heaven]] for the first time but was stalked by [[Cosmic Entity|a dark force]]. With the help of [[Lily Sunder]]uses Enochian magic powered by her own remaining piece of soul, Jack was [[resurrection|resurrected]] and cured with the power of to resurrect his own [[soul]]body.<ref name="fourteen08">[[14.08 Byzantium]]</ref> , Castiel is able to return Jack's soul to his body from heaven. Lily's magic is powered by Jack's soul, but keep's his body intact. However, Jack also began using this magic to replicate his original powers in dangerous situations despite the dangers associated with burning away his soul in the process. In addition, the magic did not appear to fully cure Jack as his condition reoccurred at least once and he had to heal himself again. Jack subsequently regains his powers after killing Michael and absorbing his grace.<ref name="fourteen10" /><ref name="fourteen14" /> However, killing Michael burns away a great deal of Jack's soul, leaving him mostly, if not completely, [[soulless]].<ref name="fourteen15" />
