Jared joined Twitter on 4th June, 2011 while at Salute to Supernatural Nashville 2011. His Twitter account is @jarpad. The legitimacy of the account was confirmed when Jared took a photo of Jensen at the Con and uploaded it as his profile pic.

In little over an hour he had over 10,000 followers and 'Jared Padalecki' trended worldwide. In less than 24 hours, he had over 40,000 followers. On 17th June 2011, Jared officially reached 100,000 followers.
