While Dean is trying to find help for Sam, Bobby's journal inexplicably falls on the floor, and a card for "Mackey's Taxidermy" falls out. He contacts Mackey who returns his call, expressing sadness over Bobby's death.

He tells Dean he had heard stories of a healer called Emmanuel. Suspicious he tracked him down through his wife Daphne Allen in Colorado. When Emmanuel visits him, he touches Mackey, and actually restores the sight in his damaged eye.
