As Rowena is about to kill Pirodine CEO James Melford, she uses her considerable power to pierce the Veil and seek out the reaper who would reap his soul, and quickly finds Martin, who is shocked she could see him. She asks Martin if he has a message for her from his boss, to which Martin tells her, "Death doesn’t negotiate with witches." Unhappy with the response, Rowena incinerates Melford and Martin with the Mors lumena spell, killing the both of them.
