Matt's Role in Supernatural Conventions

After playing an important role in the Winchester family tree and being a temporary vessel to the Arch Angel Michael, Matt took his place in the Supernatural fandom. He is a convention regular, joining frequent host Richard Speight Jr. on Friday Nights for the Karaoke Kings Party. This is a free event for anyone who wants to join in on the fun. Rich and Matt serve as hosts and performers for karaoke at every convention. Over the years the event has grown in size and has garnered a cult following in its own right.

In addition to the karaoke stage, Matt can be found in multiple photo ops, at the autograph tables, and on the main stage for Q & As. His panel with Richard and fellow convention regular Rob Benedict is a fan favorite. On Saturday nights Matt has been known to hit the stage with Louden Swain during the Saturday Night Special to perform a high energy cover of Blister in the Sun.

Matt is also known for his candid camera work. He often captures behind the scenes moments with fellow convention guests between panels, as well as having a camera in his hand during karaoke and the concert. If you'd like to see the cons from Matt's perspective, you can take a look at some of his videos on Twitter, Instagram, and WhoSay.

Matt Directing

In Season 15, Matt made his directorial debut on Supernatural with the episode 15.15 Gimme Shelter. At the time, he was also a current member of the directing team for the long-running tv show Days of Our Lives.
