Meg/Castiel, commonly known as Megstiel, het fanfiction pairs the characters Meg and Castiel in a romantic or sexual relationship.
Megstiel is one of the bigger het ships in fandom, but is controversial due to Meg being a demon and Cas being an angel, therefore making them sworn enemies, but throughout the show their relationship has developed, from enemies to allies and maybe even more. The first Megstiel fics began cropping up after episode Abandon All Hope 5.10 [1] , due to the very UST scene in the ring of holy fire. The ship became more known/shipped after Caged Heat 6.10[[2]] due to the megstiel kiss, though it immediately gained some opponents. Season 7 was full of Meg/Cas interactions, and did gain some support there. There is a Megstiel community on LJ, there’s fuckyeahmegstiel[3] on Tumblr, and there was Megstiel week [4] during the summer (blog is called megstielweek).

Castiel is trapped in the holy ring of fire and Lucifer asks Meg to watch him. With Castiel trapped, Meg proceeds to taunt Castiel about how they are winning. Castiel points out to her that Lucifer doesn't care about Demons, but Meg doesn't listen. Castiel soon telekentically moves a pipe down onto Meg which brings her inside the ring of holy fire. Meg is now inside the fire and Castiel atempts to kill her by touching her forehead, but it doesn't work. Meg laughs and mentions how Castiel can't kill demons being far from heaven.. Castiel answers by throwing Meg onto the fire, uses her to cross it and escapes, leaving her behind screaming.
MEG: What was that?
CASTIEL: I learned that from the pizza man.
MEG: Well, A plus for you. I feel so … clean. Okay, gotta go. [[6]] Caged Heat 6.10
Meg decides to stay to give Sam and Dean a chance at killing Crowley. In order to get a weapon, Meg kisses Castiel, taking his angel sword. When she pulls away, Castiel pushes her against the wall and kisses her again.
