Misha Collins joined Twitter (@mishacollins) on May 12, 2009. - the legitimacy of the tweeter being confirmed by The CW, and by Misha posting pics of himself. He soon attracted a large number of followers, whom he decided to call his minions, a collective term happily adopted by fans. Within ten days he had over 5,000 followers. On weekends, minions are referred to as flunkies.

Anyway, i'll think of you as friends not followers. But then again, maybe minions is a better term... I'll percolate.

Misha has revealed that he lives in a windowless underground bunker. He seems to have a strange obsession with ponies, which he first mentioned as being Castiel's invisible guardians at All Hell Breaks Loose Sydney 2009.

I'm glad you all think it's so funny. I'm 120' underground with nothing but my laptop and stacks of gold bullion waiting out aftershocks/ Right, yes. I'm down here with my computer and my gold and my pony. And i'm tweeting and cleaning my guns./The laptop is powered by the pony on a treadmill. I planned it all out very carefully./Minions, the pony gave out. I consumed the haunches while still warm. very little power left on my laptop. Very little oxygen. I'm so weak.

  • Misha's Twitter persona is that of a slightly manical character who is often called on by heads of state, ranging from Kim Il Jong to Barack Obama, for advice and occasional sexual liaisions. He has an on-going antagonistic relationship with Queen Elizabeth.
  • May 21 was declared #mishappreciation day by memphis86 and arabella_hope and minions posted facts about Misha's awesomeness (in the style of Chuck Norris facts). It made trending topics on Twitter
  • At Asylum 2009, Misha confirmed he was @mishacollins. He also tweeted from the Con.
  • In November 2009, the site Minion Stimulus was set up to collect money for charity, with Misha's support.
