Accompanying Castiel to Earth, Naomi tells him that if he cannot find Gabriel and convince him to come to Heaven, the remaining angels will keep things running for as long as they can, but she is not sure if this is something that can be fixed. When he insists that they will find a solution, she expresses her doubts and states that "everything ends." Before going back to Heaven, Naomi also tells Castiel that the gate will be closed until Gabriel can be found. Naomi ascends to Heaven and erases the spellwork on the sandbox to close the gate.
