Paul is a normal guy in a semi normal town, except he had been having an affair with a women named Amanda Burns. Amanda happened to be a witch in a neighbourhood Coven mascerading as a Book Club.
When Paul broke it off with Amanda in an attempt to keep his wife, she used a Hex Bag spell that consisted of poisoning Paul's wife Janet's toothbrush to kill her.
Amanda wasn't done yet, she wanted revenge and hexed him as well.
Amanda: "This dinner was made for you, Paul Arthur Dutton. And now you're going to eat it!"
Lucky for him Dean and Sam arrived just in time to stop him from chocking to death on his maggot-infested burger.
