Prophet

Definition

A Prophet is a person who speaks of events to come, on instruction from Heaven

Prophets are given the power to see either future or current events by God. These prophets are instrumental to the plans of God and are therefore top priority to the angels. Thus, each Prophet of the Lord is connected or tied to an Archangel. Should anything try to harm them, the Arch Angel will come to their aid. Should a demonic presence so much as approach a prophet, the Archangel will step in, and the "Wrath of Heaven" shall fall upon the Demon.

In 4.18 The Monster At The End Of This Book Dean, on Castiel's suggestion, gets Chuck into a room with Lilith, so that his protective Archangel will drive Lilith away.

In 4.22 Lucifer Rising, the Archangel Raphael attacks when a rebellious Castiel is with Chuck, and kills Castiel.

In 5.01 Sympathy For The Devil, Zachariah plants a prophecy in Chuck, that while not false is misleading.

Chuck is a Prophet of the Lord, who was gifted with visions of the Winchester boys. Not realizing that he was witnessing actual events he chalked it up to his own creative mind and authored a series of books he correctly titles "Supernatural".

Castiel later informs Dean that one day these book will become known as the Winchester Gospels.
