SPN J2 Big Bang

The first SPN J2 Big Bang challenge was held in 2007. In January writers signed up to write a 20,000+ word Supernatural or Jsquared novella, while artists and vidders created accompanying pieces of artwork or trailer vids to accompany the stories.
The first fic posted, well before the deadline, was winterlive's epic J2 samurai AU Monogatari.
The Big Bang was declared officially over on July 5. According to mod audrarose, there were 49 story contributions, 70 pieces of fan art, 5 vids and approximately one million words written.
Deadlines
2007
- Writers sign up by February 1
- First drafts due by May 1
- Artists and vidders sign up by May 1
- Final drafts and art/vids due by June 1
- Big Bang posting begins June 11
2008
On January 7, estrella announced the second SPN J2 Big Bang Challenge, with sign-ups for writers ending February 1, final drafts finished on May 1, and a posting deadline of June, 1.
