Sam/Gabriel slash fanfiction pairs the characters Sam Winchester and Gabriel aka the Trickster in a romantic or sexual relationship. Although this pairing wasn't really popular 'till 5:08 "Changing Channels" and may not be as popular as Wincest or Destiel it has slowly risen over the years, and refuses to back down. Even though Gabriel has not appeared on the show for quite some time, Sabriel is still rising in popularity and has surpassed pairings like Sam/Ruby and Sam/Jess.
In the tradition of fandom making "mashup" pairing names, Gabriel/Sam is referred to as Sabriel. It is often used in combination with Destiel.
