Sam meets with Sara after Mary Lew murders her husband—Chester Lew—and carves Sara's maiden name into his chest. Sam learns that Sara and Chester's prior relationship was one date to the prom. Sara informs Sam that Chester and Mary eloped a week later, and that she had moved on, but didn't think that Mary had and thus kept Chester on a short leash.
