Steve Yockey is a television writer and playwright, having previously written for MTV's Awkward. and Scream. Yockey's plays have been produced throughout the United States, Europe and Asia and are known for the their darkly comedic writing, as well as their focus on same-sex relationships.
In 2016, Yockey joined the Supernatural writing staff for season twelve, becoming a co-producer in season thirteen.
On March 8, 2018, it was reported by Variety that Yockey would write and produce a one-hour drama for FOX titled Paradise Cove.
