Supanova is a popculture expo held in various cities around Australia each year. It features writers and performers from anime, comics, film and TV, with a focus on sci-fi.
In May 2008 it was announced that Jared Padalecki would be replacing Hayden Panettiere (Heroes) who had canceleld due to filming committments. Jared was initially going to attend both the Sydney and Perth cons, but could not attend Perth on June 27-29 when it was announced filming of Supernatural would recommence in the first week in July (rather than July 14).
He will appear at the Sydney Supanova on June 21-22. Other guests at Supanova included Jewel Staite (Firefly, SGA), Nichelle Nichols (Star Trek, Heroes), Kandyse McClure (BSG) and Selma Blair (Hellboy)
