July 8-9th Salute to Supernatural New Jersey 2011 Guests included Jared, Misha, Richard Speight Jr., Brock Kelly, Gabriel Tigerman, Kim Rhodes, Steven Williams, Matt Cohen, Corin Nemec, Rick Worthy and The Brian Buckley Band performed. Genevieve was to have attended but had to cancel.
August 7th Teen Choice Awards
Jared and Supernatural were nominated for Best SciFi Actor and SciFi Show respectively but lost to Ian Somerhalder and The Vampire Diaries.
August 29
Fire! A fan on the Supernatural Location tour reports that Russ Hamilton received a call that there was a fire on the Supernatural backlot:
Russ thinks they lost their favourite bar to film in, and the pizzaria that Dean met Death in. A lot of the brownstones that looked like New York as well.
Supernatural WASN’T filming there at the time. It was a small production Bollywood film. Source
The extent of the damage top sets is unknow, but local news stations report that no-one was injured. source
