History

Tammi Benton was a friend of Renee, Elizabeth and Amanda Burns before she was possessed by a demon. The demon possessing Tammi, uses her demonic powers to help Tammi's friends but it was later revealed that she was doing this to get the ladies souls. She was the one who brought the spell book to book club and introduced them to withcraft. She reveals that when Ruby was human, she was a witch who sold her soul to her.

Tammi is a black-eyed demon, but appears to be more powerful than other black-eyed demons and has similar abilities to Azazel.

• Possess knowledge of witchcraft.
• Superhuman strength - she is not only stronger than humans but also Ruby, another black-eyed demon.
• Telekinesis - She can pin Sam and Dean to a wall & stop a bullet from the Colt.
• Biokinesis - She stopped Elizabeth's heart beating and caused internal bleeding in Dean.
• She can grant wishes at the cost of a person's soul.

She has motivated a group of women to dabble in witchcraft, for what they think are simple gains, but in reality they have sold their souls to her. Though she manages to overpower Ruby, Dean and Sam, when Elizabeth uses a spell to harm her, Dean is able to grab Ruby's knife and stabs her several times with it, killing her, though not before she kills Elizabeth for harming her.

• Though not named in the episode, the official companion for season 3 list the demon possessing Tammi's name as "Astaroth."
