Tarot Cards
A special system of fortune telling using a special pack of seventy-eight cards that consists of four suits of fourteen cards together with twenty two picture cards.

1.12 Faith
When Dean questions how a The Reaper is being controlled, Sam tells Dean he remembered seeing a cross and as he looks through some papers he holds a the Hierophant or Pope tarot card up to Dean. Which confuses Dean. Sam goes on to tell Dean how tarot cards date back to the "early Christian era, when some priests were still using magic," and how a few of those priests eventually veered into dark magic and necromancy in order to learn how to "push death away" or "how to cause it."
