Vernon Haskell is a magician who is a friend of Jay and Charlie.
When a few deaths began, involving other magicians suffering the same type of death Jay escapes in his magic tricks, Jay was the initial suspect, but was soon discovered to know nothing about it. When Charlie was supposedly killed the same way, Vernon was the last suspect and Jay accused him of using the cards to kill people. However, Charlie, who did not die but became younger than before, revealed that he was the killer and offered eternal youth to Jay and Vernon as well, requiring the deaths of Sam and Dean.
