On Saturday 14th September, Jensen captained a celebrity team in a charity soccer match held by the Vancouver Whitecaps Football Club at BC Place. Jared was to appear but had to cancel. Jensen will be joined by stars from many of the other shows filmed in the city including The 100, Sabrina, Sirens, and Riverdale. A number of Supernatural alumni took part including Tahmoh Penikett, Teach Grant and Lee Madjoub. Jared was initially listed to play but cancelled for unknown reasons three days before the event.
The match along with an auction of autographed items was used to raise many for Vancouver Whitecaps FC community partners.
